Sources and methodology

Understand the observation before the finding.

A data boundary is part of the research record, not a footnote to add later.

RESEARCH FIELD

Source reference

A source the reviewer is permitted to inspect.

Coverage and usage rights must be confirmed before a pilot.
RESEARCH FIELD

Observation window

When a value was observed and which interval it describes.

A newer record and an older record are not automatically comparable.
RESEARCH FIELD

Baseline and sample

The denominator and inclusion rule behind the comparison.

The comparison only makes sense when its definition is consistent.
RESEARCH FIELD

Unavailable context

Distribution, retention and business outcomes not established by a public count.

Unknown fields should remain unknown rather than becoming assumed facts.

What the demonstration contains

Every account, metric, profile and change shown in the interactive examples is fictional. Stock photography is used to make the sample artifacts readable. No commercial feed or social account is connected. The demonstrations explain a proposed research structure; they are not a source of real business intelligence.

What a pilot needs to establish

Agree source access and permitted use before collecting real observations. Name the geography, reference-account set, baseline sample, update frequency and available history. Record missing fields, known gaps and how an observation date is represented. Do not describe an incomplete sample as a complete market view.

How to handle a gap

If a record is missing or a source stops updating, keep the gap visible. Do not silently carry an old value into a new period or treat an unavailable field as zero. A useful review distinguishes a change in the market from a change in the collection process. Any freshness promise or delivery schedule must be agreed separately before a pilot begins.

A few things
to make clear.

Is this a live analytics service?+

Not yet. ReelsData is in development. All charts and account records on this website are fictional examples. Data coverage and refresh schedules will be established before a pilot is offered.

Which platforms will it cover?+

Coverage has not been committed. Each platform needs a viable data source, clear field definitions and a tested refresh policy. A pilot will name exactly what is covered.

Does an outlier predict a viral video?+

No. An outlier describes unusual observed performance against a stated baseline. It does not establish what caused the result or predict the outcome of a new post.

What should we agree before a pilot?+

Source access, permitted use, reference accounts, observation frequency, history and baseline methodology. All demonstrations here use fictional metrics.
